Offset Architects were appointed by The Purelake Group to prepare construction drawings, obtain building regulation approval and clear planning conditions for a scheme which had already received planning approval. Offset Architects worked with the employer’s agent and were appointed to act as the lead design consultant.
The houses have private gardens and there are carefully planned communal areas over the podium slab, featuring play areas and soft landscaping. Under the podium slab is a large 71 space car park. The block was constructed using contiguous piled walls to two sides with a concrete transfer slab over to form the podium slab. Load bearing masonry was used with pcc floor planks to form the upper floors.
