This project involves a total redevelopment and interior alterations to this large detached property on a private road in Oxted, which included a single storey rear extension and detached pool house. This is all linked in with thoughtful landscaping to bring the two buildings and differing level changes together with the main lawn, tennis court and long distance views beyond.
We used a contemporary design to the extension and pool house with white render, lots of large glass panels and wildflower grass roof to help create important biodiversity and water retention as well as providing an attractive outlook from the first floor accommodation.
Given the location of the property in the greenbelt and the planning restrictions this imposes, we gained a Lawful Development Certificate for the pool house and a separate householder application for the changes and extension to the property itself. This worked well for the clients to provide everything they requested within their initial brief.
