Offset Architects were appointed by the Purelake Group to design residential accommodation on a plot which housed a disused office building, and then to provide planning and construction drawings as the project progressed.
This scheme, for eight good-sized semi-detached properties, uses attractive traditional materials and detailing in keeping with the character of the area. The completed development provides high-quality sustainable homes which are fit for modern family living. The designs conform to both Life Times Homes and London Housing Design Guides.
Six of the properties face onto, and are accessed from, Westbury Road which is a quiet side street. Each property has a parking space at the front of the plot and side pedestrian access to the rear of each dwelling and to the private garden.
The remaining two properties, which closely resemble the original building, face towards the main road, thus maintaining the original character of the view from the street.
