The client’s brief was for Offset Architects to improve the property by providing the extension which would include a downstairs cloak and boot room to replace an existing garage, utility and ancillary space. The kitchen, front porch and hallway were to be reconfigured and extended to provide better access, more space and light.
As part of the works the client took the opportunity to update the property and remodel by replacing the windows and introducing modern materials.
The lobby was removed and the hallway opened up to create a light and spacious staircase with full length north facing glazing. In the kitchen the key feature was the frameless glass roof which bathed the room in light.
