This large property was in need of internal modernisation and the provision of a more modern living space.

In order to achieve the client’s brief, at the rear of the property internal walls were removed along with the bay window to the existing formal living room and the lean-to dining area. A new single storey extension was erected, using materials sympathetic to the original building, which provides a bright, open plan dining, kitchen and family space.

The first and second floors were reconfigured to provide the client with a large master bedroom suite complete with dressing room, and better-proportioned en-suite bedrooms.

The existing small timber garage was removed and replaced with a brick building which complements the architecture of the house
